One is attached to the body and the other to the molding. Make sure you have replacement clips available. The top molding is recommended for replacement. It will be damaged upon removal. Prior to removing the glass from the vehicle, remove any debris from between the glass and the body. Cut out the glass part with tools of choice. Attach vacuum cups to the outside surface of the glass after wiping the surface clean. Dry-set the new glass and create alignment markings. Remove all but 12 mm (1/16 inch) of existing adhesive from the pinchweld area. Caution: Do not touch or contaminate the existing adhesive once it is trimmed. Installation It is absolutely necessary to use an adhesive system. Do not mix products.
