CHEM 1033: Fundamental Chemistry 1 Course Description Chemistry 1033 is designed to introduce you to the physical world around us. Matter in its various form, chemical reactions, energy transfers, and the nature of the bonds between atoms that allow them to form ions and molecules will be considered. The course is divided into eight lessons. Each lesson requires reading a chapter or parts of a chapter in the text "Chemistry" - Sixth Edition, Zumdahl and Zumdahl. You are expected to do the Sample Exercises in the chapter as well as assigned problems at the end of each chapter. In addition, the odd numbered problems have answers supplied at the end of the text. After you have completed a certain number of lessons, you will be asked to do a tutorial. The three tutorials contain problems based on the topics in the lessons you have completed.
