PrivatAir to Pioneer Business-Use for Latest Generation of Boeing 787 PrivatAir, the first business aviation specialist to operate both Boeing and Airbus airliners, is again pioneering the use of these aircraft for business travel with an order for a Boeing 787, one of the latest generation models. The order complements PrivatAirs existing Boeing fleet which includes a newly acquired 767, one 757, a BBJ2 and three BBJ1s, and underlines a growing demand from business travelers for long-range and large cabin aircraft. "PrivatAir has been at the forefront of business aviation for three decades," said Greg Thomas, CEO of PrivatAir. "We were the very first commercial operator of the Boeing Business Jet, and the first to operate a luxury-configured 767 for our VIP charter business." Since PrivatAirs inception in 1977, the company has operated heavy business jets within a fleet totaling over 40 aircraft ranging from turboprops and light jets to airliners.
